3 Source Global Logistics (3 Source Logistics) is an international shipping and fulfillment company operating in the United States and parts of Africa. The business offers warehousing, inventory management and a host of other logistics services. In 2021, the company hired me to help them design their U.S. corporate website and create marketing collateral for their sales reps.

3 Challenge

The Challenge

Before the company launched it's U.S. business in 2018, it had only operated internationally up to that point. The challenge was creating a website that appealed to a U.S. audience while seamlessly integrating with their existing web presence abroad.

Adding to the challenge, I had to work with the previous development team which is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. No stranger to working with developers and creatives in different parts of the world, I coordinated chat sessions with them to communicate and shared assets as needed via GitHub and Dropbox.

The Goal

As a growing company with an already established footprint abroad, 3 Source Global Logistics needed a partner who could produce a multichannel marketing campaign for its U.S.-based business. The owners and I met several times to plan and discuss their goals in advance of starting the project.

Their goals and objectives were determined to be:

  1. Establish awareness of 3 Source Global Logistic's U.S.-based business
  2. Establish the company's reputation as a trustworthy U.S.-based shipping partner
  3. Capture qualified new leads for ongoing marketing efforts
  4. Streamline and automate customer shipping quotes and customer support by bringing these functions online

3 Target

The Target

After determining the preliminary goals, a data-driven strategy to position them in the marketplace needed to be created. Establishing their target audience was the first step in the process. Although they serve both businesses and individuals, businesses make up the majority of their customers.

The target audience includes business owners from various industries who prefer a single source for their shipping needs as well as government organizations seeking logistics services.

The Solution

After gathering insight and data, I was ready to assemble the team and start the project. The team included two Graphic Designers to create UI elements and print design concepts (including myself) and one programmer. I also assumed the role of Project Manager. Together we designed a new company website, corporate stationary, business cards for each employee and a new company brochure.
